Outdoor Program Teacher
Spark Montessori is an authentic Montessori school that seeks an Outdoor Program Teacher to support its Outdoor program.
Key Candidate Skills and Attributes:
• A love of nature and the outdoors
• Alignment with organizational mission and values
• Experience working with young children
• Ability to seamlessly integrate into a classroom
• Openness to coaching by lead teachers or administration
• Track record of reliability and dependability
• Ability to work with all age groups and/or support daily school operations
Key Benefits to the Position:
• Ability to shape Spark Montessori’s nature-based program in the afternoon
• Work with young children while outdoors in Horner Park (includes 1/2 mile walk in nature along the river, garden space, and a nature play space in the future
Credential Requirements:
• Prior experience working in Early Childhood Education a plus but not necessary
• Early Childhood Education credit hours a plus but not necessary
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• 3 written character references
• Medical examination within the last 2 years
Compensation:
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience. Professional development opportunities will be offered.
